Make plans to be in Indianapolis for the Assessment Institute and a post-conference Carnegie Academy where campus teams will learn from experts in the field regarding strategies and tools for monitoring, tracking, assessment, and evaluation as it relates to the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification application for 2020.
Here's what you need to know:
- Assessment Institute Oct. 22nd-24th, 2017 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown
- Carnegie Academy, immediately following the last session of the Assessment Institute on Oct. 24th through Oct. 25th, 2017 at IUPUI
Community Engagement at the Assessment Institute:
Individuals may register for the Assessment Institute and will benefit from sessions, plenaries, and this year's community engagement keynote speaker, Mathew Johnson, Director of the Swearer Center and Associate Dean for Engaged Scholarship at Brown University, the new home for the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement.
Campuses intending to apply for Carnegie Community Engagement Classification are encouraged to stay an extra day to attend the Carnegie Academy as a team. John Saltmarsh will kick off the post-conference event on the afternoon of October 24th by discussing anticipated changes to the 2020 application, lessons learned, and recommendations for preparing an application. Campuses will learn about strategies, tools, lessons learned, and recommendations for approaching questions in the application that call for data collection, findings, and evidence of data-driven decision-making.
