Along with his position as director of Workforce Readiness and Program Development, Myron is also the Convener for the Great Places 2020 initiative on the Near Westside of Indianapolis where he is responsible for supporting and facilitating resident-driven community and economic development efforts.
He is passionate about adult learners, community engagement, social justice, African American males, and addressing oppressive systems.
Myron has a Bachelor’s degree in sociology from Ball State University, a Master’s degree in higher education administration from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the IUPUI Urban Education Studies program with a minor in Adult Education.
After completing his PhD, he plans to pursue faculty opportunities where he can continue his work as a community-engaged scholar. His research examines the issues and concerns of university/community partnerships in vulnerable community settings.
