Statewide program offers free tutoring and mentoring for middle and high school students

Indiana University college students are preparing middle and high school students in Indiana to succeed now and for whatever comes next through a statewide program named “Indiana Kids.” In 2016, the IUPUI Office of Community Engagement received a Serve Indiana grant to work in partnership with Indiana University campuses across the state to provide free tutoring, mentoring, and college and career readiness workshops to Indiana students in grades 6-12.

Upward Bound at IUPUI receives $2.8 million grant renewal for college-readiness programs

The IUPUI Upward Bound program received a $2.8 million grant renewal that will enable the campus to continue to provide college-readiness programs to low-income high school students in Indianapolis. The grant will help IUPUI target six local high schools with traditionally underserved populations and first-generation college families.
